My father died four weeks ago today. He had been diagnosed a few months earlier and refused to undergo treatment he had experienced 20 years earlier. He was pragmatic, old school, strong headed (very) and always considered he had lead a good life.

We were gifted some stunning winter days to end the year. May the transition to the new year be gentle and perspectives for the coming one, uplifting.

Recap of a 4 day weekend in Edinburgh.
. Started with an overnight hike in the Pentland Hills. I usually hike in the highlands but the Pentlands are easy and quick to reach with public transportation. I camped along the shores of Treipmuir reservoir.
